Ingredients easy jambalaya
2 tbsp olive oil
2 stick celery (chopped)
1 medium onion (minced)
1 medium bell pepper (chopped)
1 lb turkey kielbasa (chopped half moons)
2 clove garlic (minced)
1 1/2 tsp old bay seasoning
1 dash hot sauce (to taste)
1 pinch red pepper flakes (to taste)
3 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup water
14 oz crushed tomatoes (1 can)
1 cup long grain rice
2 dried bay leaves
how to make easy jambalaya
In a dutch oven, heat oil over medium low heat and cook vegetables until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
Add kielbasa and cook 3 more minutes. Add garlic and stir constantly for 30 seconds.
Add in seasoning, hot sauce and pepper flakes, chicken broth, water, and crushed tomatoes. Bring the whole mixture to a boil and add the rice and bay leaves. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir, cover, and let cook another 10 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
