Ingredients pizzelles
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
3 large eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
1 tbsp anise or vanilla extract
how to make pizzelles
Preheat Pizzelle press while preparing the batter
Place flour and baking powder in a small bowl and then set aside.
Place eggs and sugar in a medium size bowl. Mix on medium speed for 1 minute, until thickened.
On low speed, add the melted butter and vanilla in a steady stream. Mix until combined, about 15 seconds.
Add the flour mixture and mix until just combined about 10 -15 seconds. Do not overmix.
Place 1 1/2 - 2 teaspoons of mixture onto patterned grid, lock lid. Let cook 1 - 2 minutes depending on your Pizzelle Press. When done, remove carefully with a spatula and place on wire rack to cool.
Sprinkle with confectioner sugar. Makes 36 - 40 cookies on a 4 inch patterned grid.
